Security
DentallManager secures your practice data in several ways: from access control to hosting. This page gives an overview.
Access control via roles
You decide for yourself who can see and do what, through roles and Access rights. This lets you determine, for example, who can view the employment file or who can edit schedules. You can use existing roles or create your own. Read more at Roles and Permissions.
Extra check on sensitive pages
For sensitive areas — the employment file, documents & protocols and the org chart — DentallManager asks for your password again before you continue. This keeps sensitive information protected, even if someone else briefly sits at your screen.
Hosting and encryption
Your data is stored with hosting providers within the EU. According to DentallManager's privacy statement, the software uses "encryption, secured servers and access control" to protect your data.
Folder security
In Cloud storage & Protocols you secure folders at different levels. This lets you decide who can view which documents, for example per department or position.
Two-factor authentication
Contact the helpdesk with questions about additional security options, such as two-factor authentication.
DentallManager supports you in organising quality and compliance, but this is not legal advice. For the current requirements, consult the official sources (including KNMT, IGJ and the Dutch Data Protection Authority) or an adviser.
