Role: Practice Manager
As practice manager, you use DentallManager to organize your team and your practice. You can do everything an employee can, plus a range of management functions.
What can you do extra?
On top of an employee's permissions, you have access to:
- Settings — the full setup of the practice, see Practice Settings.
- Easy Contracts — create and send contracts and track the signature status.
- Create announcements — with read confirmation for the team.
- Add to-do's for the team.
- Birthdays — view the overview and send a congratulations message.
- Manage notifications — snooze or complete Smart Alerts.
- Approve requests — approve or reject leave and overtime requests.
How this fits into the role model
The practice manager corresponds in the role model to the base role Admin. Above that sits Super Admin; the default level for the team is Basis gebruiker (Basic user). In addition, you can stack targeted permissions, such as Payroll administration or Schedules. Roles apply per location or for the whole practice. The full model is on Roles and Permissions.
Position versus role
"Practice manager" is also a position (Position) in the employment file. The position is a label; what you're allowed to do in the system is determined by your access role. Your practice can therefore organize permissions differently from the default described here.
